Prolific and provocative, Stanley Fish, C'59, is one of America's leading public intellectuals and a world-renowned literary theorist and legal scholar. Currently Floersheimer Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, he has also taught at the University of California at Berkeley, Johns Hopkins, Duke, and the University of Illinois, Chic ago, where he was Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. 

Professor Fish is the author of 15 books, including Versions of Antihumanism: Milton and Others, How to Write a sentence, and Save the World on Your Own Time, Versions of Academic Freedom From Professionalism to Revolution will be published in 2014. He is a contributor to the Opinionator blog for The New York Times, and has written extensively on the politics of the university.
