This talk will present an oerview of the DEA and their mission; history and current state of the opioid epidemic nationally as well as locally, to include overdose deaths; details on pharmaceutical opioids, heroin, fentanyl, and other related drugs; recent trends; discussion of the DEA 360 strategy, a 3-pronged approach that includes community outreach for education/prevention and some of the DEA efforts to facilitate our mission.
