Talk: Matthew Harvey

Matthew Harvey, Senior Litigation Specialist in the Integrity Vice Presidency (INT) at the World Bank, will give a talk on Fighting Corruption: The International Development Perspective as a part of PPE’s Crime and Corruption Capstone Speaker Series. 

Mr. Harvey is responsible for sanctions litigation against individuals and contractors who have engaged in fraud and corruption on Bank-financed projects and represents the World Bank before the World Bank Group's Sanctions Board. Mr. Harvey is also responsible for settlements and for referrals to member countries. In addition, Mr. Harvey advises INT investigators on investigative plans and instruments, the generation of evidence required for sanctions proceedings, implementation of audits, use of show-cause letters, interview strategy and other legal matters related to INT investigations. Mr. Harvey is a dual qualified Australian and English attorney. Prior to joining INT, Mr. Harvey was at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London and before that Mr. Harvey was in private practice at major international law firms in London and Sydney.
